Merry Christmas 2013 and Happy New Year 2014!
Saturday, November 30, 2013 was a once in a 10 year experience for a Photo Tour Global Directory™ event with a “total temperature inversion” at the Grand Canyon, according to the National Park Service in an article posted by The Atlantic. The entire Grand Canyon was FILLED with clouds and not a single cloud in the sky above the canyon. An incredible sight you are going to enjoy!
The National Weather Service explains temperature inversion as:”The warm air above cooler air acts like a lid, suppressing vertical mixing and trapping the cooler air at the surface.”
The Photo Tour Global Directory™ tour group going to the Grand Canyon to shoot the sunrise had no idea what a history making day this would be with a total cloud inversion. The warm air of the cloudless sky was trapping the fog in the entire canyon for a unique viewing experience. Being above the clouds was exhilarating as the sun filled the sky and the things became clear through the mist.
The photos tell the story best! We arrived at the blue hour
The best shots of the day were taken by a 15 year old young man on the tour who shares his photography under the name “Faceplant Photography.” He captured the essence of the total temperature inversion as the sun rose on Saturday, November 30, 2013. He also caught his dad reflecting on the majesty of the Grand Canyon and the wonder of it all!
The Business Insider had some great shots of this unique phenomenon as well.

Make delicious Vegetable Beef Soup in five minutes of preparation time from left over roast!
It’s easy. Be organized and stay focused connecting all the cooking dots with Cosmic Cuisine™ to get this done in 5 minutes.
Get your ingredients out first:
Start the water boiling while you chop the left over roast and vegetables.
Dice the meat into cubes.
Cut the onions, potatoes and carrots into bite size chunks.
Add the onion and vegetable soup mix, frozen spinach, peas or green beans and any left over frozen vegetables, along with the diced can tomatoes to the boiling water.
Then add any left over gravy and bring back to a boil. Once boiling add the meat and chopped vegetables.
Taste the stock and see if you might want to add some additional beef bullion or ketchup. You can also add some honey or natural sweetener to give it it a softer flavor.
Simmer for about an hour.
COSMIC CUISINE COOKING TIP
Freeze small amounts of left over vegetables in ziplock bags to use in soups or pot pies instead of throwing small amounts away. Try one big freezer bag and mix all the vegetables as another option. Subscribe to our mailing list to get weekly video cow tips on helpful ideas to save time and money.
The key to connecting the dots in the Cosmic Kitchen is to have the ingredients out ready to go and to focus on one task. Creating the meal and not multi tasking while finishing this specific job will keep you on track. Dinner with a five minute preparation should be an achievable goal when you are focused.

Photography and engagement, are you in the game to win with new connections?
We are in the digital image age and any impression a business shares, has is about 3 seconds to do it’s job to determine if a potential client might click on the photo for more information when a link is included. Photography is the doorway to engagement™ so your first impression is going to set the tone for winning in the marketing game.
Advertising today has to have an image with the “gottcha” factor.
Big companies are sharing images created by consumers on Instagram and Pinterest to encourage engagement and sharing of their business profiles and links. The images anyone is posting on social media venues have the potential of being shared all over the world. This new technique of connecting should inspire anyone looking to promote their own business, product or service to have the best photos possible to share in an methodical program to bring continuity to the story being told to bring a consumer to action. That call to action can be sharing the post or opening a link which asks the consumer to make a decision to buy or subscribe to a newsletter. The key to getting that call to action in motion is the graphic or photo shown to stimulate the behavior. To be in the game as the business or consumer the images you post must create an emotions when viewed.
Home Depot has a Halloween Event going on with a daily theme of photos to share on Instagram. The program is called the “Photo-A-Day Challenge.” Home Depot has invited the public to share photos on Halloween or Fall with specific themes for seven days prior to Halloween. You can see the themes in the graphic identified by day.
The Theme to share on Instagram for October 24, 2013 was Leaves and the daily post for Home Depot shared the theme so people would be able to follow, know the hash tags to use and comment! # or Hashtags are used as searchable words.
Below is the Home Depot Instagram profile page and you can see the posts from each day and that they are starting to SHARE on Instagram a photo selected from the Photo-A-Day challenge with the hash tags #letsdothis #fall #HomeDepot #PhotoOfTheday #Halloween #October and more. By using the hash tags on the posts the terms are searchable on Instagram which are sometime shared on twitter and also fall into trending words on cross social media platforms. What that means to Home Depot is that their name will be showing up in searches for #Halloween #Leaves #Fall #letsdothis #PhotoOfTheDay #autumn #inspiration
Interesting how Home Depot is taking the word #inspiration as one of the hashtags as anyone searching the word, inspiration will come across the Home Depot tags by hundreds or thousands of posts of consumers in the game.
This shot shows Home Depot sharing a consumer post with leaves posted by @ellaclairblog Home Depot has 43,123 followers on Instragram so this is a huge shout out for @ellaclairblog as it shows up on the Home Depot Instagram profile page and starts conversations and engagement just from the photograph.
The share with the Home Depot Photo-A-Day Challenge shows up on the profile page of Instagram.
Home Depot has a social media team that commented within 2 minutes of posting this photos of leaves. Instagram is ONLY a mobile app and consumers can only be accessing this Instagram event on their photos. For Photographers this is a great way to get some of your work out. There is an app called iWatermark to have your name added to the photo for additional exposure.
Home Depot has a planned posting agenda to use photography as the doorway to engagement. Get in the game and start posting your photos for additional exposure from large companies encouraging photo sharing.
If you do not have photography skills you might want to connect with a local photographer to learn about possible classes or even personal tutoring. If you don’t have time to capture images around your area you can connect with local photographers through the Photo Tour Global Directory™ site and hire someone to create the story you want to tell through images.
Photography is the doorway to engagement™. Stunning images must be part of the posting mix if you are in the game to win!Pin It
