Have some fun with a deviled egg filling!

For 12 eggs

Ingredients

3/4 cup Mayonaise

1 TBS yellow mustard

1/8 cup diced onion

1/8 cup diced celery

1/4 cup sweet relish

1 teaspoon splenda

raisins for eyes

pimento or carrot chips for nose

Mix the Mayo, celery, onions, spenda and sweet relish together and then add the mashed yolk of the 12 eggs

Peel the eggs and cut the hard boiled egg at the top of the egg just so the yolk can come out.

Fill the egg with the deviled mixture, add the raisin eyes,  pimento nose and put the egg white top on the chick

Bunny Buns for Easter Dinner

 

 

“Bunny Buns”  have got to be a fun food for all ages!

So easy for anyone to make!  Kids, guys, vintage players……. everyone will have a great time making and serving these delightful rolls!

Easy to make and fun to eat!, bring the best to Easter Dinner

For 5 rolls

1 tube (7-1/2 ounces) refrigerated biscuits
10 raisins
20 slivered almonds
5 red-hot candies, red candied cherries or carrot chip

Shape five biscuits into ovals
Place on a greased baking sheet about 2 inches apart
Cut remaining biscuits in half.
Shape biscuit halves to form ears
Press firmly to attach to whole biscuits
On each biscuit, press on two raisin eyes and four slivered almond whiskers add nose.

Bake at 375° for 8-10 minutes or until biscuits are browned.
Cool slightly;
Optional use pink icing to frost inside ears

Now… let’s make the food plans!

clam chowder bowl

6-8 slices of bacon (chopped)

1 pound salt park  or pork chops

4-5 carrots (chopped)

4-5 celery (chopped)

large onion (chopped)

6-8 potatoes (peeled/chopped)

2 boxes chicken broth or 2 quarts boiling milk

4 tablespoons flour

2 TBS butter

1 quart half & half

4    cans chopped clams 7 oz size with juice or 2-3 pounds fresh clams steamed and chopped

Garlic salt & pepper to taste  1 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper

2 bay leaves

Cook bacon until crisp and remove from pot leaving grease, chop finely.  Add finely chopped pork and fry till crispy.  Par cook the potatoes, onions, carrots, celery in microwave  or add the 2 boxes of chicken broth (or the 2 quarts of milk) and simmer till tender.  Melt the 2 TBS butter and add the 4 TBS flour then start adding the in the half and half and seasoning  simmer half an hour to hour.  Add clams and juice in plus the vegetables heat until hot.  When serving crumble bacon on top of the bowls.   Chop all the veggies pretty small.  Try adding a little “Ol Bay seasoning” if you like that flavor.

Make this soup the main part of the meal and serve with muffins or corn bread, a salad, and  dessert.  Makes 8-10 servings.

Celebration Cranberry Salad!

 

Celebration Cranberry Salad that will be an annual addition to your holidays! 

The flavor of the fruits and nuts in the salad gives a zesty blend of sweet and crunchy texture with a delightful flavor!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ingredients: 

1 bag of fresh cranberries  16 ounces

1 medium orange chopped finely

   zest 1 TBS orange peel

1 green apple chopped finely

1  14 oz. can crushed pineapple

    drain and keep juice to add water for 1 cup of liquid

4 stalks chopped celery

1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

1/2 cup sugar or sweetener

2 TBS lemon juice

1 large pkg  cranberry, raspberry or cherry jello

1 Cup boiling water

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

          

 

 

 

 

Dissolve the jello and the sugar in 1 cup hot water.  Add 2 table spoon lemon juice and pineapple juice with water to make 1 cup

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Use the food processor or blender to finely celery, cranberries, apples, orange

Blend the dissolved jello, lemon juice and pineapple juice to create 1 cup of liquid and add all fruits and nuts.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Refrigerate overnight and serve with fruit in the center.

Cosmic Kids Cuisine Snack

Sweet'N Salty Snack

One pretzel, one Rolo chocolate carmel, heat 2 minutes on 350 degrees, add half a pecan…. EASY! 

Try this fun way to have a quick Sweet 'N Salty treat  Cosmic kids of all ages can create and tastes great!

               Sweet n salty

 Ingredients

  • Pecan halves
  • Small pretzels
  • Rolo chocolate camels

Place one pretzel on an oven proof pan and top with one rolo carmel. 

Bake at 350 for 2 minutes to soften Rolo, then gently place the 1/2 pecan piece on top of the camel and press down. 

Cool and serve!
