Cosmic Easter Chicks Plate CEC

Try a CEC Cosmic Easter Chick plate!

Have some fun with a deviled egg filling!

For 12 eggs


3/4 cup Mayonaise

1 TBS yellow mustard

1/8 cup diced onion

1/8 cup diced celery

1/4 cup sweet relish

1 teaspoon splenda

raisins for eyes

pimento or carrot chips for nose

egg ingredients














Mix the Mayo, celery, onions, spenda and sweet relish together and then add the mashed yolk of the 12 eggs

Peel the eggs and cut the hard boiled egg at the top of the egg just so the yolk can come out.

Clean out egg














Fill the egg with the deviled mixture, add the raisin eyes,  pimento nose and put the egg white top on the chick

Tie Dyed Eggs for Easter

Do you love tie dye?

Create an interesting dish with tie died hard boiled eggs!

To boil eggs!

Place the eggs in a pan in a single layer with cool water covering the eggs by 2 inches.

Add 1 teaspoon of baking soda to make the eggs easier to peel.

Bring eggs to a boil and boil the eggs for 1 minute and then take off the heat while leaving covered for 10 minutes.  Time might change depending on the altitude so take one egg out to practice to make sure it is not a deep bright yellow yoke.  If it is keep covered several minutes longer.

Place the eggs in ice water and get ready to dye!

  1.  Crack the egg by rolling on the counter or cutting board
  2.  Place in a baggie to color
  3. Pour the food coloring over the egg in the baggie
  4. Roll the egg round in the baggie with the food coloring to dye the egg
  5. Peel the egg over the sink
  6. Rinse off the egg and share on a plate

Use many different colors to spice up the plate!

Bunny Buns for Easter Dinner



“Bunny Buns”  have got to be a fun food for all ages!

So easy for anyone to make!  Kids, guys, vintage players……. everyone will have a great time making and serving these delightful rolls!

Easy to make and fun to eat!, bring the best to Easter Dinner

For 5 rolls

1 tube (7-1/2 ounces) refrigerated biscuits
10 raisins
20 slivered almonds
5 red-hot candies, red candied cherries or carrot chip

Shape five biscuits into ovals
Place on a greased baking sheet about 2 inches apart
Cut remaining biscuits in half.
Shape biscuit halves to form ears
Press firmly to attach to whole biscuits
On each biscuit, press on two raisin eyes and four slivered almond whiskers add nose.

Bake at 375° for 8-10 minutes or until biscuits are browned.
Cool slightly;
Optional use pink icing to frost inside ears
